April went by so fast, and even though I’m still walking around in a wheelchair/crutches, I was able to be somewhat productive and get things done for uni. I also read some amazing books/novellas before Infinity War came out and completely destroyed me. But more on that later on. For now…
- To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo – 5 stars
- On Chesil Beach by Ian McEwan – 4 stars
- Son of the Dawn by Cassandra Clare & Sarah Rees Brennan – 4 stars
- Opal by Maggie Stiefvater – 3.5 stars
- Pillow Thoughts by Courtney Peppernell – 3 stars
Apple Watch: as I mentioned on last month’s wrap up, for my birthday I got an Apple Watch. It was supposed to track my progress with all my runs and stuff, but since I’ve been unable to walk, much less work out, I thought I wouldn’t be using it much until I got better. I was wrong. It turns out it is amazing and can do much more than what I had anticipated. I wear it every single day, at all times, and at this moment in time, I can’t see myself stopping using it.
Beyonce’s Coachella performance: I was not at Coachella (obviously). But when I watched that performance from the first weekend from my computer, I was awed. I was speechless. I couldn’t stop looking, and singing along and gasping and being blown away by how much effort and time had to have gone into it. It was truly spectacular. She’s so talented and you could see that every single person on that stage gave their 110% and that made it all so beautiful.
Avengers: Infinity War: this movie completely wrecked me. In case you weren’t aware, I live for the MCU. I’ve got all the merch, the crazy theories, I go to the movie premieres and everything. I got my friends into it, I got my sisters into it, I got my mom into it (my dad’s still a work in progress though). This movie was the conclusion of 10 years of going to the movies, and I was not ready for it. I loved it so much! I’m not going to ramble endlessly about it right now, but do expect a whole post about it.
That’s it for April. Classes started to pick up, my foot is still hurting and I read some amazing books. Overall, a pretty good month. What did you enjoy most during April?
Until next time,
